Exercise For Fun, Exercise For Fitness

Exercise is an integral part of keeping active and fit.  Exercise is provided three times a week where residents are encouraged to participate in range of motion exercises, stretching and proper breathing techniques.  Exercise helps improve cardiac output, energy levels, range of motion and helps prevent joint pain.

Open Up Your Heart and Let The Sunshine In!

Whether people watching, bird watching, watching the sun rise, sun set or just killing time, this lovely setting nestled amongst  the lush greenery at the Retirement Home gives you the ambience and quietness of total relaxation.

               Let the sunshine in!

Reading For Pleasure

Whether exercising, watching TV, participating in crafts, playing cards or dominos, or relaxing with a good book to read, each of our residents have a choice.  Our library has a great selection of books from fiction, documentary, novel,  religious or spiritual.  Residents take books of their choice for reading and return them to the library once they have finished reading them.  We have a great exchange and inter-change with our city library and an almost continual flow of books from members of the Order and local donations.

Dog? What Dog?

Man's best friend!  If you see long-time resident, Hank Garrett, you will also see one of his best friends right at his side.  "Princess" is the only pet at our Home and she virtually belongs to all the residents, however, Mr. Garrett oversees all her care.  She obeys his every command and loves any treats he may have for her.  If Mr. Garrett is away from the Home, other residents take turns caring for her.
