GRAND MASTER’S DEDICATION

I will dedicate myself, my time, and my efforts toward the moral leadership to motivate ourselves and our lodges to become recognized as a part of our community. Odd Fellowship promotes friendship, love, and truth to all people and nations. We can do it!

I want to thank my family, my lodge, and my friends for their support for letting me off the hook where I have failed them. My encouragement has come from your support. Working together, we can accomplish a lot.

I will pledge my support to Rosa Ford and her leadership in the Rebekah Assembly. She has been an inspiration to me with her cool, calm, shining light. I appreciate her and Frank for being the persons who I can rely upon for advise.

We all can and will work together in unity for a stronger Order.

                                                                                            Thank you in F. L. & T.,

                                                                                            Jack Griffith

SCRIPTURES

John 3:16: For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him, should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Psalm 23: The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures; he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul; he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies; thou annointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

This Land is Your Land

By Woody Guthrie

                            Chorus:

                            This land is your land, this land is my land

                            From California, to the New York Island

                            From the redwood forest, to the gulf stream waters

                            This land was made for you and me.

                            As I was walking a ribbon of highway

                            I saw above me an endless skyway

                            I saw below me a golden valley

                            This land was made for you and me.

                            Chorus

                            I’ve roamed and rambled and I’ve followed my footsteps

                            To the sparkling sands of her diamond deserts

                            And all around me a voice was sounding

                            This land was made for you and me.

                            Chorus

                            The sun comes shining as I was strolling

                            The wheat fields waving and the dust clouds rolling

                            The fog was lifting a voice come chanting

                            This land was made for you and me.

                            Chorus

                            As I was walkin’ - I saw a sign there

                            And that sign said - no tress passin’

                            But on the other side ... it didn’t say nothing!

                            Now that side was made for you and me!

                            Chorus

                            In the squares of the city - In the shadow of the steeple

                            Near the relief office - I see my people

                            And some are grumblin’ and some are wonderin’

            If this land’s still made for you and me.

            Chorus (twice)

ODD FELLOW VALEDICTION

I AM AN ODD FELLOW:

I believe in the Fatherhood of God and the Brotherhood of Man;

I believe in Friendship, Love and Truth as basic guides to the ultimate destiny of all mankind;

I believe my home, my church or temple, my lodge and my community deserve my best work, my modest pride, my earnest faith and my deepest loyalty, as I perform my duty "to visit the sick, relieve the distressed, bury the dead and educate the orphan" and as I work with others to build a better world, because in spirit and in truth, I am and must always be, grateful to my Creator, faithful to my country and fraternal to my fellow-man;

I AM AN ODD FELLOW!
