to embrace their yesterdays as well as their
today's. The Independent Order of Odd Fellows (IOOF),
Grand Lodge of Texas, established the Home for the Aged in 1905 onsite
with the Widows and Orphans Home in Corsicana, Texas. In
1926, a new Home was built in Ennis, Texas on
100 acres of beautiful country
landscape inside the city limits.
The facility was originally designed for Odd Fellow and Rebekah Members;
however, residency is open to all individuals |
seeking a quality of living without sacrificing choices of independent
living. Residents have the privacy of their own spacious room, an elegant
living area, a large dining room, in-house laundromat,
game room, Computer Lab, and
a beautiful serene chapel where worship services are held every Sunday
morning.
Other amenities include a beauty
shop/barber shop, an exercise room, and rooms for arts, crafts and
quilting. The Home provides transportation to community activities, local
shopping trips and physician and health care appointments. Community
activities are encouraged within the Center including arts, music, civic
affairs, social functions, entertainers, religious teachers, reading volunteers
and educational groups.
Diet and nutrition is managed
by a certified food service technician where special diets can be prepared as
required.
