Garry Bolch
 GRAND MASTER
 2019 - 2020

DEDICATION

I would like to dedicate my year to my mother, Dewice Bolch, and to my wife, Angela Bolch. Without their support, I could not have entered into the journey to become Grand Master.  They have encouraged me and helped me.

I would also like to dedicate the year to the Past Grand Masters of Fred Ende Lodge No. 87 and to al the Past Grand Master of this jurisdiction who have talked to me, encouraged me, and who have supported me.

To my President, Pam Isenhower:  I have worked with you for a few years now, and have come to know you and your family.  I will serve with you and will support you in any capacity that I can.  It has been my pleasure and privilege to have served this Order with your help.  We are on teh next step of our journey and I consider myself blessed to travel it with you.

Legend of the Dogwood

At the time of the crucifixion, the dogwood had reached the size of the mighty oak tree.  So strong and firm was the wood, that it was chosen as the timber for Jesus’ cross.
To be used for such a cruel purpose greatly distressed the Dogwood.  While nailed upon it, Jesus sensed this, and in his compassion said, “Because of your pity for my suffering, never again shall the Dogwood tree grow large enough to be used for a cross.  Henceforth, it shall be slender, bent, and twisted, and its blossoms shall be in the form of a cross - two long and two short petals.
“In the center of the outer edge of each petal will be the print of nails.  In the center of the flower, stained with blood, will be a crown of thorns so that all who see it will remember.”

ODD FELLOW VALEDICTION

I AM AN ODD FELLOW:

I believe in the Fatherhood of God and the Brotherhood of Man; I believe in Friendship, Love and Truth as basic guides to the ultimate destiny of all mankind; I believe my home, my church or temple, my lodge and my community deserve my best work, my modest pride, my earnest faith and my deepest loyalty, as I perform my duty "to visit the sick, relieve the distressed, bury the dead and educate the orphan" and as I work with others to build a better world, because in spirit and in truth, I am and must always be, grateful to my Creator, faithful to my country and fraternal to my fellow-man;

I AM AN ODD FELLOW!
